Once upon a time…

Ok so I know it has been way way waaaaay too long since I posted anything on here. It’s  been over a year!!! I didn’t disappear off the face of the earth, honest. I had another baby. (same things isnt it ?) My life has changed a lot since I last blogged. I left you in South Africa after we had been visiting family and had been to the Kruger national Park on safari. We had a really great trip and we can’t wait to go back which we hope to do in November. So life update time. I now have two beautiful boys who are 2 and 1. They keep me extremely busy and on my toes but I wouldn’t change a single minute of the crazy. I handed in my notice at work and am now a stay at home mom. I had three of my friends waiting outside while I went to hand my notice in and had three cheers when I came out. I am so grateful that I can stay at home with my babies ( not so much babies anymore….I’ve told them to stop growing up, but they aren’t listening *sigh) We bought our first house and have been making it our home for over 6 months now. We have really settled in and loving that we have more space and a garden for the boys. We have some exciting things planned for this year and I can’t wait to blog about them and attempt to take beautiful pictures to reflect our families memories. I hope to put up blogs of our trips as a family products that I have found to be amazing and general mom stuff.  I  want this blog to encourage you all as mother’s. I chose the name The Artisan Mom not to show how I am this amazing mother and wow look at me I have it all together. I chose the name The Artisan Mom as a name to reflect that as mothers we become skilled in the craft of motherhood. We use our hands,  whether it is to create or to comfort, we work with our hands to create a home for our families to thrive in and this is what makes us artisans.
