A New Find in Hitchin: menchliving

The rain finally had subsided, so I decided to brave it and take Albie out for a walk into town. I had seen on Instagram a  new shop called menchliving had come to Hitchin.  The pictures looked so appealing so I was really excited to have a nosey. I wasn’t disappointed. Firstly as a new mom who loves little shops that have shiny things in, I find it particularly difficult to squeeze in with my pushchair and once I’m in the shop, not bumping into things and risking things falling and smashing.

This shop is lovely and spacious and really easy to get in with a pushchair. I was immediately struck by how bright it was with white decor and high ceilings. the lights were making it all so bright and dazzling, which drew my eyes to all the beautiful array of homeware.

One of the reasons I had been so interested in this shop is that I saw they sold Noodolls. they are Japanese inspired plush toys that are simply adorable.They range from teddy bears to dinos to carrots. On arriving I saw they were selling them and promptly bought a  bear  for Albie. They all have cute names and this one was  Ricecracker tehe.

The children’s section is  just adorable and it had such a Scandinavian feel to it. They even had  a children’s teepee! The children’s area had paper plates and napkins for parties. Also on display were plastic cups and plates for little ones and wooden Bordfolk egg cups that come in all different characters . When chatting to the owner  she told me that a children’s den area, for games and play will be set up in the shop. I can’t wait  to see it when it’s finished.

Apart from the children’s things the rest of the shop was filled with beautiful textiles, candles and pretty homeware.
